From this summer we are TangoPiantao. We are building our dance related activities into this part of Arttu’s company (Media Rajapinta).

And the future.
Well, first we will hopefully survive Tampere Tango Week 2015.
Then some calming down, except that the next weekend we are going to Lahti again, the local tango association MiTango will have their 5th birthday party, and invited us to teach a class and maybe dance a little.
Last Saturday of October we shall be in Turku with Pasi and Maria, giving Special Saturday Workshop with four teachers. This happens to be third time in Turku having similar workshop, every time it has been really nice and interesting.
Then we are planning to rest a while, and spend some quality time with Nina, until we have one weekend workshop in Sweden to give at the end of November. Luckily we have very nice domestic and foreign guests in Tampere in November, while Pasi and Maria are away from Finland. Guest stars will take a lot of responsibility of teaching at classes of Tango aMoroso in November, so we are not overwhelmed with work being the only regular teachers in town. We expect that November shall give very nice tango moments to us and the students.
December will and the season for us. In January we plan to go to Argentina to visit family and spend some time with friends in Buenos Aires and other parts of the country. Tango and folklore we will surely have in our program also, the more the better. And then back to Finland at the beginning of April.

We have The 3rd Tampere Tango Week in hand right now. Every day from Monday to Sunday some tango happening here in our home town. Foreign guest stars, home not so guest stars, but stars anyway, and a lot of dancers, dancers, dancers. Classes, practicas, milongas, tango, vals, what else.
That is what is happening right now.
Last summer was quietish, but relaxing. At the end of the spring we moved to live in new neighbourhood, and have now more space to live and give private classes. Some very nice tango-jobs during the summer, for example in June the little project Tango in Spanish, that is, giving tango classes and teaching some Spanish at the same time before the milongas. Also special Thursdays with Pasi and Maria were excellent, it is so good to work with them.
We also had a pleasure to dance in concert of Tango del Norte and Romina Bianca. Not to mention some other nice gigs.
At the end of the summer we gave some introductory tango classes as part of the World of Tango -happening in Tampere. World of Tango organised a series of classes and concerts in libraries in the area of Tampere, to promote and bring the idea of tango to suburbs. This was the second year for us to participate this, and very nice experience.
The World of Tango happening was in September, and we participated in it too, as dancers, choreographers and teachers. Thanks to Pasi and Maria Laurén, Tango aMoroso show group and Wold of Tango for the opportunity to work with you again.
In September started the weekly classes of Tango aMoroso association, us teaching the Monday group. October brought vals workshop in Lahti, that was last weekend. Always good to be in Lahti, the childhood home town of Arttu.
After a quite long piece of time we finally open our private calendar again. From mid of July to end of August we have reserved Monday and Thursday evenings for private classes. You can reserve your class from our private class calendar or take contact to ask for free times.
Argentina did not want to let us go last Sunday. Now we think it may, so we are leaving in the end of March. Sadly we missed to give some classes, but otherwise everything is fine. We enjoy the last days of summer and beginning of autumn here in Buenos Aires one more week, then we head to feelings of early spring in Finland. See you here, or see you there, but see you.
So we are again beginning a new year. We are spending the first months of 2015 in Argentina again. Soon we’ll be back to Finland. Couple of weeks of vacation here in Buenos Aires, and then back to business in Finland.
It has come time to ease a little the family life, Nina will be two years old in June, so we are planning to give more time to tango again. Some plans we have for this year already, but more we want. So if you have interest in getting us to teach or perform in your events, please contact us.

After very nice spring classes in Tampere we also gave some special classes with Pasi and Maria here in Tampere in May. Those were really interesting and we had a lot of fun to work with them.
Now it is June and life as usual in Finland. Last days have been cold, windy and rainy. However, we gave one session of chacarera classes this week and next week we’ll give a class of zamba before milonga in Tampere.
Two weeks ago we came back to our northern home to Tampere, Finland. We already began giving weekly classes in Tampere and visited Jyväskylä to celebrate five year birthday of their tango association.
After a couple of weeks we are now again ready to start working with our private tango students and our dance room is ready to welcome them. Also if you or your tango community are interested to have us teach in your city, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are going to stay in Finland/Europe until the end of the year, so we have all summer and autumn to use.

Summer in Buenos Aires has been mostly hot. Some people think too hot. Well, I am from Finland and happen to enjoy warm weather, so I am not complaining too much. In last days we have had some heavy rains also, which is nice for change.
Carina is giving classes in DNI and me and Nina are daily visitors there also. Yesterday we had DNI Tango 9 years birthday party. Usual Saturday practica was prolonged until 10pm, had a lot of performances and some live music among other festivities. I was happy to DJ and enjoyed people dancing to music of my choice. Very nice evening indeed.
Our stay here lasts until March, we will be back to Finland in middle of March. There we will give groupal classes and privates of argentinian tango and folklore. Please contact us if you are interested.
